Red Light District: Mike Green Ties Record With Goal In 7th Straight Game

Well, it looks like the "Red Light District" has the early lead as number of titles for the number posts thus far! with three Mike Green also gets his second headline. Tonight, it is again rightly justified with Capitals D Mike Green scoring 2 goals for the second consecutive game, and six multi-point games in a row. Last, but certainly not least, is the NHL record he has tied for a defenceman scoring in 7 consecutive games. Mike O'Connell of the Bruins set the mark in 1983-84, with Ray Bourque netting a goal in six straight in that same year. I proclaimed a little over a week ago that Green deserves serious consideration for the Norris Trophy, and the Caps ever-improving 2-way dman is doing everything in his power to cement that proclamation.

Check out the new poll on the left and vote for your Norris Trophy winner if voting were to take place now.

Keep your stick on the ice!
